The History: =RB= Almost didn't happen

The Royal Battalion was established in December 2005, when a gamer (who's name we will not mention because of the dark dark cloud that hangs over his name) set up a clan that specialised in Base Assault, the best ever game type in, what I beleive was the best game in the series, namely Call of Duty : United Offensive.

I was the first recruit of Royal Battalion and shortly after, the leader disappeared, leaving me wondering what to do. After a few days, I was asked by Camper from [BBC] if I wanted to trial for them because he didnt think the RB leader would return, so I did, and for reasons unknown I didn't pass.

Shortly after, the RB leader returned, asking if I would assist in managing the clan, to which I agreed. Soon we had a number of new rectuirs including a lad called Skully and other players like Crackling & Gawain and things started to look up.

Soon the leader began to neglect the clan and go AWOL again, then decided that he couldn#t be arsed to continue and that RB was going to end. I wasn't happy with that and eventually took over the clans servers, website and paypal accounts.

So glad am I that I made that decision in 1006, because if I didn't then we would not have this great community that we have today.


Today

Today, =RB= has a reputation of fair play and friendly banter where a fun environment is more important than winning results. Yes we don't liek to lose and we love the smell of blood on our knives, but the one thing that has always remained constant is comradery.

Our game servers are placed on a main UK backbone at IP House in London, ensuring a good level of performance from where ever you happen to be connected, whether that be UK, Germna,y Poland, Croatia, Serbia and beyond.

We are always looking for good people to join our clan and whilst we have a general 17+ rule on age, anything is possible, so we say if you do want to join =RB=, then ask.
